Six Months is Sassy :: San Antonio Children's Portraits

All my babies are growing up!   Sweet Lacey is already six months old. It feels like just last week we were doing her newborn portraits.

Everyone always says that babies change and grow too quickly. As a new mommy myself I acutely understand what everyone means! Its incredible to see the changes that happen from month to month.

Six month sessions are one of my most favorite sessions to shoot - especially when the little is sitting up and has "discovered" hands and feet.

If you have kiddos, what was your favorite age? What was the best part of that age?

The love between these precious girls was apparent from Baby C's newborn session. Big Sis C is protective and proud of her little and Baby C is totally enamored with her big. What a special friendship these two will have for a long time to come!

Sweet Addison's daddy is a major Michigan State fan -- so we started the brainwashing with proof of her infancy fan-ship. I bet this picture is going to come around again when she's 18 and making her college admissions choices!

Sweet baby smiles are so precious and I always feel lucky to capture one. I like to think (especially with the girls) that baby is just pleased that we're taking their picture...

As promised - Lacey's "diva" moment! We were using that amazing pink fabric with a white flower headband and she stretched  out that arm and posed her fingers just like that. I grabbed the purple feathers and let her have a moment! Can't wait to see if this precious attitude grows with her!

The Tillyer Family | San Antonio Family Portraits

I love all the families that I get to shoot - but this family was one of the easiest and most fun I've met! Mom and Dad were totally willing to do whatever it took to make their kiddos smile (they were great assistants!) -- and the thumb sucking? Mom's attitude was "Well, we'll always remember him exactly as he was!". I've been going back to these images again and again just remembering how natural, relaxed, and at ease the were with each other. And the lighting? We totally hit the jackpot. It was the perfect "golden hour" glow!

There are few things better than photographing a friend - and few higher compliments than having a friend trust you enough to photograph their family! I had a blast with you guys and I can't wait to make it an annual tradition! xx
