The G Family :: San Antonio Family Portraits

What a pleasure it is to photograph a family that truly loves to be together. And it doesn't hurt that they are a beautiful bunch!

I am totally loving the wardrobe choices that Mom made. The coral is to die for and incorporating the print and turquoise pushed the whole look over the top. Questions on what to wear for your summer portraits? Look no further!

Big brother J laughingly gave us a hard time for almost the entire shoot - then Mom did her Mom thing and this was the result - a true moment in time picture that I hope is cherished for years and years.

...just about made my heart burst when sister G decided she wasn't done giving J a hard time and stole a cuddle from him.

Saying Goodbye :: Fischer, TX Family Portraits

When these two were married at Fischer Hall in Fischer, TX in March of 2011, I'm sure they had NO idea how life would change in the next year.

Now, they are headed back "north" - and leaving the Texas heat and mild winters behind.

So for one more family photo shoot, we returned to the place where they started their family for some final family portraits.

It's amazing that just over a year ago Ian and Melanie were standing in front of that same window exchanging vows.

Before we headed out, Ian and Melanie recreated their first dance - but not their last!

Six Months is Sassy :: San Antonio Children's Portraits

All my babies are growing up!   Sweet Lacey is already six months old. It feels like just last week we were doing her newborn portraits.

Everyone always says that babies change and grow too quickly. As a new mommy myself I acutely understand what everyone means! Its incredible to see the changes that happen from month to month.

Six month sessions are one of my most favorite sessions to shoot - especially when the little is sitting up and has "discovered" hands and feet.

If you have kiddos, what was your favorite age? What was the best part of that age?

Click It Up :: Break the Rules

Shooting into the sun can be seriously daunting - but the rewards can be AMAZING. The haze provided by the lingering rain clouds made this sunset - for a split second - an intense, perfect backdrop for this shot.

Try it next time you're out and about. Don't let the "rules" hold you back! Click it up!

Head-Shots Don't Have to be Stuffy

It's a new world out there! As business and social media collide the days of stuffy, stodgy, predictable business head-shots are out. Your first impression should be warm, friendly and approachable.

I wish they had a different name - "head shot" is so... aggressive!

Your personality should shine through in an appropriate and business like manner without looking fashioned and out of touch.

From press releases to LinkedIn portfolios, websites and even your Facebook page - put your best face and personality out there! How may of us a guilty of "face judging"? Doesn't the way someone presents them self affect your willingness to do business with them?

What is your head shot saying about you? If it's time for an update or "re-do", get in touch!

A Sunset Mini :: San Antonio Teen Portraits

It rained today. I was so afraid that this session would have to be canceled - and the thought made me so sad! Instead, the skies were a perfect hazy, diffused, backdrop and the sun powered through for some amazing light.
